Fire Safety Checklist

• Install smoke detectors & maintain them.
• Make an escape plan & practice it.
• Know how to use 911 in emergencies.
• Call from a neighbor's house
• Younger children know their address & phone number.
• Keep lighters & matches out of the hands of children.
• Store Flammable liquids away from your house in a separate building in the proper container.
• Never use a water heater or heating unit closet for storage.
• Don't ever go back inside for anything.
• Feel doors before you open them, if hot, find another way out.
• Know two ways out of every structure.
• Stay low...Crawl under smoke.
• Have a meeting place outside.
• Know how to "Stop, Drop, & Roll" if your clothes catch on fire.

Other tips for Home Owners that have alarm systems.

• Make sure that your alarm company has your correct address and phone number.
• Make sure that your alarm company has driving directions to your home.
• Do an alarm test and make sure that the alarm company calls you to verify the alarm.

REFLECTIVE ADDRESS SIGNS

These signs make it much easier for Fire, Ambulance, and Law Enforcement to locate your house. The signs are $20.00 each. Allow 2-3 weeks for local delivery.
